The Association of the Friends of the Firefighters\u2019 Museum of La R\u00e9union and the Indian Ocean officially opens its publishing house.
This new structure continues the work carried out over the past years to preserve, study, and transmit the history of firefighters from La R\u00e9union and the Indian Ocean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A mission: to produce and share firefighter heritage<\/strong>
The publishing house will publish works dedicated to:
\u2022 the general history of fire services;
\u2022 local histories by municipality;
\u2022 life stories and biographies;
\u2022 collections of testimonies;
\u2022 annotated historical sources;
\u2022 risk culture and prevention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It relies on a complete set of internal documents\u2014editorial charter, editorial process, rights policy, graphic charter, ethical framework\u2014ensuring consistency, scientific quality, and legal compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A dedicated editorial governance<\/strong>
The structure is organised around an editorial directorate, an editorial coordinator, and a specialised committee for sensitive or scientific manuscripts.
Each collection will gradually receive its own editor-in-chief to guarantee coherence within each editorial line.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Projects already under development<\/strong>
Several books are currently being written:
\u2022 historical syntheses;
\u2022 territorial monographs;
\u2022 biographies;
\u2022 editions of old sources;
\u2022 works dedicated to risk culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first publications will be released once the editorial work is completed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
