Submit a Manuscript

Scope of Accepted Manuscripts

The publishing house welcomes manuscripts related to:

  • the history of firefighters;
  • biographies, life stories, and personal testimonies;
  • local monographs linked to firefighter heritage;
  • critical editions of historical sources;
  • risk awareness, prevention, and safety culture;
  • thematic studies connected to fire and rescue services.

Fiction, opinion pieces, polemical texts, and works unrelated to our mission are not considered.

Required Submission File

Each submission must include:

  • a detailed summary (one page);
  • a short presentation of the author;
  • the full manuscript or a substantial sample;
  • a list of sources used;
  • any images proposed for publication (with copyright status);
  • the intended collection (if applicable);
  • an estimated writing schedule.

Only complete submissions will be reviewed.

Evaluation Procedure

All manuscripts follow a structured evaluation process:

  1. eligibility check;
  2. initial editorial assessment;
  3. in-depth reading by a specialist or a collection editor;
  4. review by the editorial committee for sensitive subjects;
  5. final decision by the editorial director (acceptance, conditional acceptance, or refusal).

This process ensures consistency, accuracy, and editorial quality.

Commitments of the Publishing House

All manuscripts are handled confidentially.
Each decision is explained to the author.
Authors retain all rights until a publishing contract is signed.

Use a PDF file for the manuscript and a compressed folder for any visual material.

An acknowledgment of receipt will be sent once your submission is registered.

Indicative Review Time

The evaluation usually takes 4 to 12 weeks depending on:

  • the nature of the manuscript;
  • current editorial workload;
  • the need for a specialist review.

This timeframe is not contractual.
