Publishing House of the AAMSPLROI

Mission

The publishing house of the Association of the Friends of the Firefighters’ Museum of La Réunion and the Indian Ocean aims to produce and promote works dedicated to firefighter history, heritage, biographies, values of public service, and risk culture.
It is the natural extension of the association’s historical, archival, and research activities.

Editorial Scope

The publishing house publishes:

  • historical studies;
  • local monographs;
  • biographies and life stories;
  • collections of testimonies;
  • critical editions of archival documents;
  • thematic works on prevention and risk awareness;
  • publications developed with institutional or academic partners.

Regular publications such as magazines, blog posts, or news updates are not part of the editorial scope.

Editorial Governance

The editorial structure includes:

  • an editorial director responsible for coherence and project validation;
  • an editorial coordinator in charge of daily operations;
  • collection editors (progressively appointed);
  • an editorial committee consulted for sensitive or scientific manuscripts.

The publishing house follows a set of internal documents: editorial charter, editorial process, copyright policy, graphic charter, and ethics and compliance plan.

Current Projects

Several works are currently being written or prepared in the following areas:

  • general history;
  • local history;
  • biographies;
  • firefighter heritage and culture.

The first publications will be released once the editorial process is completed.

Every submission follows a clear and structured evaluation procedure based on relevance, historical accuracy, editorial coherence, and compliance with the ethical charter.
